Coyote Ridge Physical Education Principles
1. Make it fun…every moment of the experience, physical fitness should be enjoyable
2. Limit standing around…it ultimately turns kids off and ruins the first principle: make it fun.
3. Everyone participates…it is never fun to sit and watch everyone else.
4. Teach every skill to every student…no one will be surpassed or overlooked for any reason.
5. Emphasize the fundamentals…we must learn how to dribble first before we play basketball.
6. Challenge by Choice…students become more responsible when they make their own choices.
7. Yell encouragement…whisper constructive criticism.
8. Use sport as a tool for life lessons…ultimately they can use these lessons anywhere.
