Unlike any program you may have ever seen, it’s not just dodgeball and running laps anymore. In fact, we often do many activities that other programs haven’t even heard of. In order to accomplish our objectives, there are several principles that ensure students success.
1. Make it fun…every moment of the experience, physical fitness should be enjoyable
2. Limit standing around…it ultimately turns kids off and ruins the first principle: make it fun.
3. Everyone participates…it is never fun to sit and watch everyone else.
4. Teach every skill to every student…no one will be surpassed or overlooked for any reason.
5. Emphasize the fundamentals…we must learn how to dribble first before we play basketball.
6. Challenge by Choice…Incorporate a progression of skill development for every student.
7. Yell encouragement…whisper constructive criticism.
